Ashleigh and Pudsey, winners of Britain’s got talent 2012 (I cried… it’s awesome)

Via jistark: itinerarioReviviendo… Bob Dylan en Chile 2012 - Like a Rolling Stone.

Bob Dylan in Chile
9 o’ clock. The first chord of Leopard skin pill-box hat, the song which is used to open almost every show of Bob Dylan since last year, is played. Behind Bob and his five musicians, you can see only a black curtain illuminated with different colors according to the song. Minimalist, but sufficient. He doesn’t need anything, his presence is more than enough.
Bob Dylan has something special. I don’t know if this is only because of his talent; I think that his charm grows from another source: every spectator feels like trying to catch him, but nobody can get him. When he sings his best-known songs, “It ain’t me, Babe”, “Things have Changed”, or “Highway 61 Revisited”, even if you had heard before other versions, you’ll never find a repetition. It has always more than one surprise: when you think he’ll play the guitar, he stays in the piano, or plays the harmonica, which is combined perfectly with the electric guitar and the bass in a form that no one could get. And moreover, tonight, we enjoyed electric versions of his classic songs: awesome.
When Bob and his Band played “Desolation Row”, “Cry a while”, “Tangled up in the Blue”, it felt like these were new songs, a new surprise. The ecstasy came in his last songs: “Love Sick” (acclaimed by the public: a symbol of a hope, romanticism still exists in Chile), his “Ballad of a Thin Man”, and the best song of all time: “Like a Rolling Stone”, followed by “All Along the watchtower” and “Blowin’ in the wind” in its electric version closed the show with fans at Bob’s feet.
I don’t know what it is. I don’t know if it’s the nostalgia, if it’s his poetry (whose topics have never been outdated), his particular form of singing (like he is reciting a poem) or simply the fact that you can’t catch him. It could be his attitude: he never cares about the public (by the way, I think he isn’t as distant as I read in some articles), he just IS there, he SINGS and he TRANSMITS plenitude to his fans, even at his 70 years. It could also be his aura… anyway, that’s not the point; my point is this: Please, go to Bob Dylan’s concert at least once in your life. You won’t regret, and after that, you’ll feel empowered to leave every problem behind, and do whatever you want.
